Take Back Your Voicemail with SimpleSignal’s New Voicemail-to-Text Service

Dana Point, CA (PRWEB) September 16, 2008 — SimpleSignal Inc., a leader in hosted telephone systems for businesses, announces a new voicemail-to-text service called SimpleScribe that allows small and medium businesses (SMBs) to more easily manage their voicemail messages by reading them. Built on GotVoice technology, a white label version of the SimpleScribe voicemail-to-text service is immediately available for channel partners.

“Let’s be honest: Voicemail sucks. It’s just faster to read your voicemails,” said Dave Gilbert, president of SimpleSignal. “SimpleScribe — combined with the single number that rings multiple phones capabilities of our hosted VoIP solution — is ideal for fast companies and mobile workers who want to avoid the time sinkhole of listening to long messages and having to jot down notes.”

SimpleScribe will free SMBs from the voicemail blackhole so they can focus on growing their businesses.
The new SimpleScribe service converts voice messages into text and delivers them via email. SMBs can quickly review their voicemail at a glance, saving time from having to listen to lengthy voice messages. The service also sends voicemails to a user’s email inbox as MP3 or WAV file attachments.

SimpleScribe scales to thousands of users and requires no hardware upgrades or resource commitment from IT departments. SimpleScribe allows users to:

Receive voicemail as text and digital audio in their email inbox

Forward messages to coworkers via email

Archive all voicemail text and audio files for easy retrieval

Use the service for both mobile and landline phones

SimpleSignal partnered with GotVoice to create SimpleScribe. GotVoice’s voicemail-to-text technology works with nearly all major mobile and home phone carriers. “Partnering with SimpleSignal exposes our technology to people who can benefit from it the most — small and medium businesses,” said GotVoice CEO Curt Blake. “SimpleScribe will free SMBs from the voicemail blackhole so they can focus on growing their businesses.”

Channel partners interested in providing the SimpleScribe voicemail-to-text service should call (866) 434-4404. Resellers interested in joining the SimpleSignal Channel Partner program can sign up at http://simplesignal.com/partners.php.

SimpleScribe follows the introduction of SimpleSignal’s SimplyMobile unified communications solution, which combines feature-rich hosted PBX with hosted Microsoft® Exchange 2007, and SimpleSignal for Salesforce, which adds calling features to the popular CRM application. See demos of these SimpleSignal solutions live at ITEXPO West 2008 in Booth 642 from Sept. 16-18.

If you have ever felt the frustration of being caught in a myriad of voice mail options when calling a telecom or internet service provider (not to mention an airline), then you will appreciate a website recently constructed by Click411 Inc.

The idea is to place a “visual” of voice mail options directly online for the company you are calling so you can save time by going directly to the extension you desire. The service is new and will undoubtedly contain many more companies over time.

If you have a company that sends prospective customers through an endless array of voice mail prompting, be sure you contact Click411 Inc. to get your company listed. The company press release is below.

============================================

New website PhoneTreeShortcuts.com helps eliminate multi-route voice prompts.

Los Angeles (PRWEB) July 14, 2008 — Leading online resource company Click411, Inc is delighted to announce their latest addition to the Click411 family, PhoneTreeShortcuts, which can be found at www.phonetreeshortcuts.com or at www.click-411.com. PhoneTreeShortcuts allows end users to bypass the interactive voice prompts and commands when calling a business or service center and is the ideal solution to long waiting queues and aborted calls.

Figures show that over 40% of calls to companies are aborted when callers are faced with voice prompted directions. This high number of abandoned calls can have a major impact on a users experience with a company and is one of the reasons behind PhoneTreeShortcuts. “There is incredible frustration on the part of the consumer in dealing with interactive phone menus. If you lost 40% of your business through a poor sales or after-sales service team, you’d be asking questions of that team,” says Manly Hyde, CEO of Click411, Inc. “Yet many businesses don’t even think that it could be down to their phone system – they look for other reasons instead, and miss the cause of the problem altogether. PhoneTreeShortcuts will help ease consumers frustration in dealing with the time consuming and frustrating phone tree menus.”

There is incredible frustration on the part of the consumer in dealing with interactive phone menus.

The database used by Click411.com allows the user to view the phone tree menus for popular companies without having to listen to all of the voice prompts. By offering the details regarding the exact extension a caller requires, the website ends the need to be routed from one department to another. Users can search for a number alphabetically, by category or by a user-defined search.

Using a drop down menu, users can also select categories and sub-categories to enable them to quickly find the number they are after. Click on an Airline tab, for example, and a list of airlines worldwide appears. Select the airline of choice, and the number and description appears, informing users of the choices normally available via telephone. The system is extremely user-friendly and easy to follow and will allow callers to place the right call immediately.

The service also includes a Dial Now option, where the software will work in conjunction with a user’s computer – by clicking on the link the service will dial the number and the user can input the exact extension they want. Other features will be added as the service expands and will include more user-defined options.
